DGS Ethics Training

Course Objective
The objective of the DGS Ethics class is to give filers an orientation course on the relevant ethics statutes and regulations that govern the official conduct of state officials. Attendees who take the DGS Ethics class satisfy their ethics training requirement.

Course Description
California law requires state officials who have to file an annual Statement of Economic Interest (Form 700) to complete an ethics training course within six months of their hiring, and every two years thereafter. (Government Code 11146.3.) The Attorney General’s Office and the Fair Political Practices Commission have developed a curriculum for an Ethics Training Course. The DGS Ethics class uses the developed curriculum in order to provide onsite Ethics training for DGS employees.

The course is $0.00 per student. (No Charge to State Agencies)

Cancellation Policy
You may cancel students up to 1 business day(s) prior to class.  Substitute students on the day of the class are acceptable.

Course Size
This course has a minimum student count of 25 and a maximum student count of 200.

Certification Expiration
The certification achieved by taking this course will expire 24 months after taking the class.
