Course Objective To reduce the number, severity and cost of vehicle-related collisions.
Course Description A three and one-half hour class that reviews safe driving techniques through video, lecture, test and personal experience. Fulfills the State of California driver training requirements. All state employees who frequently drive on state business should attend and successfully complete the Defensive Driver Training Program at least once every four (4) years. This is in accordance with the State Administrative Manual Section 0751. Students receive a wallet size completion card valid for four years.
REQUIREMENTS: A VALID BILLING CODE IS REQUIRED, OTHERWISE THE SYSTEM WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO SIGN UP FOR CLASSES.
Please Note: Parking is available at participants expense. Facilities do not provide validated parking.
Fees The course is $24.50 per student. (No Charge to State Agencies)
Student "No-Show" Policy In the event a student fails to attend any class in which he/she has enrolled without either cancelling enrollment at least 5 business day(s) prior to the beginning of class, or sending a substitute student in his/her place, his/her agency will incur a $24.50 "No-Show" Charge.
Course Size This course has a minimum student count of 25 and a maximum student count of 50.
Certification Expiration The certification achieved by taking this course will expire 48 months after taking the class.
