Cloud Computing Contract Special Provisions WEBCAST

Course Objective
Upon completion, students in this afternoon webcast will: Understand basic concepts of computing "on the Cloud"; Determine whether or not Cloud Computing suits specific agency needs; Know the importance of correctly classifying data; Understand the need to establish an agency Cloud selection committee; Be familiar with the Special Provisions; Understand the allowable Carve Outs to the provisions, how to use them, and some consequences of their use.

Course Description
Who should attend:
Although this training is open to all State of California procurement and contracting officials, it will provide guidance to the procurement staff, IT specialists, program and legal experts, budget analysts, approval authorities, and other staff that play any role in the acquisition of Cloud Computing services.

This webinar covers the Special Provisions required for inclusion in all contracts for Cloud Computing Software as a Service (SaaS). These Special Provisions were released in the September 5, 2014 Broadcast Bulletin.

This course is about 3-1/2 hours in length, beginning promptly at 1:00 P.M. However, you will be able to login as early as 11:30 A.M. to test your connectivity.
