Course Objective The objective is to provide DGS employees information associated with the Desktop and Mobile Computing (DMC) Policy and Procedures.
Course Description Acquisition of Desktop and Mobile Computing commodities requires approval by the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) deputy director prior to procurement of the commodities. The DMC process is designed to facilitate the review and approval process. The class covers the following topics:
• State of Californias Desktop and Mobile Computing (DMC) policy
• Department of General Services Information Technology Policy and Procedures.
• The relationship between the requesting office, ITSD and Business Services Office and/or Procurement Division.
